A beautifully timeworn pairing of antique utility brushes dating to the late Victorian/Edwardian era, each with its own distinctive form and wonderful aged patina.
The curved brush has the graceful silhouette of an antique table crumb or butler’s brush, once used to sweep crumbs from linen-covered dining tables between courses. Its sculptural S-shaped wooden form and warm natural bristles make it especially beautiful.
The longer brush is reminiscent of an early drafting or workroom duster, with a turned wooden handle and long dark bristles designed for gently sweeping debris from a work surface.
