Antique Primitive Pigeonhole Organizer
Antique Primitive Pigeonhole Organizer
A non-combined shipping item. Please do not combine with any other items at checkout.
An incredible piece of antique primitive storage, this long wooden pigeonhole organizer has the kind of timeworn character we are always searching for.
Measuring approximately 38 inches long, the piece features a row of individual open compartments framed in beautifully aged wood. Years of use have left behind a wonderfully layered surface—warm natural wood, remnants of old creamy paint, darkened areas and all of the little marks and imperfections that give an authentic utilitarian antique so much soul.
Originally created simply for organization, today it becomes a beautiful architectural piece for the home. We especially love the contrast of its primitive construction with softer European cottage elements—old books, faded florals, antique glass and collected paper ephemera.
Details:
Authentic antique pigeonhole organizer
Primitive wood construction
Multiple individual compartments
Exceptional naturally aged patina
Remnants of old paint and surface wear throughout
Approximately 39” long x 10” high
Antique wear, marks, variations and imperfections are expected and celebrated
Styling Suggestions:
Place it along the back of a console, worktable or oversized mantel and fill the compartments sparingly with old photographs, letters, tiny books or collected curiosities. Layer antique bottles and stacks of worn books along the top, or leave it almost entirely empty and allow the incredible wood and patina to become the focal point. It would also be beautiful in a creative studio filled with ribbons, papers and other small treasures.
