A beautifully timeworn antique Victorian footstool with all the faded romance we love in an old textile piece.
The upholstered top features a wonderfully aged floral needlepoint in muted, faded blue with soft ivory and blush detailing. Years of use have mellowed the textile beautifully, leaving areas of wear and tattering that only add to its character.
The stool rests upon a dark wood base with gently shaped legs and an equally lovely aged patina. Small in scale, it is a wonderful piece for layering into a collected interior—tucked beneath a chair, beside an old upholstered settee, stacked with books or simply displayed where its faded textile can be appreciated.
