Antique New Haven Tatoo Alarm Clock | Early 20th Century
A wonderful piece of early American timekeeping, this antique clock is full of old-world character and nostalgic charm. Dating to approximately the 1910s–1920s, it features a beautifully aged ivory dial, oversized black numerals, ornate hands and a decorative metal loop handle reminiscent of an oversized pocket watch.
Manufactured by the New Haven Clock Company in Connecticut, the Tatoo model was designed with an intermittent alarm that sounded in intervals rather than continuously. Its smaller upper dial was used to set the alarm time.
The weathered finish, decorative detailing and wonderfully aged appearance make this a distinctive piece for a thoughtfully collected home.
